This kit features a 16.4" x 16.4" design on a 20" x 20" canvas. The extra .4 comes in the form of edging rows which are needed to join the Blooms together using the Harlequin Border.  The Rhododendron kit comes with a chart card, printed canvas measuring 10 holes per inch, needles, needle threader and Elizabeth Bradley Tapestry Wool.

Vibrant Colors and So Fun to work!

I love the rhodendron kit so much I bought a second one! The vibrant colors make the design come alive against the cream background, which is large enough to develop an even tension and rhythm. Then the greenery gives you a chance to use vertical stitching, but is simple to practice. I like to do the pistils/stamens before I do the lovely pinks and magentas as they're easier to see before they are stand alone stitches. However, I'm careful not to work them so tightly they'll disappear in the beautiful blooms. A beginning stitcher can both enjoy this kit and learn new techniques!
